clearcola's dead?!?!!! 😱😱😱

yeah, for the forseeable future.

After finishing up DEATH FOOD and 8 Ball Village rekkad#1 (I crossed my heart, and...) I've been thinking about what's coming next. One thing that will change for sure with the next release is my moniker.

I bought my Maschine Mk.II Summer of '17 and started making beats and such for fun. I did that for around two years before I put out those two records and they're really conjoined twins in my eyesz. It feels good to be done with my first project.

After getting the hang of things a little bit more, and to put those projects behind me, I think it's time for an evolution.

When I came up with the name clearcola I was struggling to come up with names that I thought "sounded cool". I even tried random word generators and stuff like that (my name almost ended up being Tokyo Dial Tone). For clearcola I straight ripped Crystal Pepsi cause I was on the way out of being real into the whole vaporwave aesthetic type-deal.

Explaining clearcola now just feels lame. I have absolutely no connection to Pepsi whatsoever.

It's been hard to decide on name that I think I'll be happy with for a while. I want to have a name with more personal value. The choice I gave myself was either my given name (Aiden Dutton) or Chefboay. I chose Chefboay.

Now, I have nothing against my name- but personally I perfer going by my nickname. The homies call me Chef. The why on that is a long story, if you'd like to hear it- hit me up.

Chefboay is another story, hit me up for that one too-- alternatively, you could wait for my interview with "Big Music Publication".

I was feeling like throwing this to the world. I have no obligation to explain to myself or anyone else why I'm putting this on MY website. Gotta stop acting like I owe an explanation, as if there's someone to owe.

☮︎ thanks for reading! love to you and yours☮︎
